Now Accepting Applications for Contributors to the Visionary Womanhood Blog

Filed in Relationships by on June 20, 2012

Do you have a passion for communicating visionary truths to others?

I am seeking qualified women to join our strong team of committed writers.  There are currently two spots available, and I am accepting applications through Friday, June 29.  New contributors will be rotated into the schedule beginning August, 2012.

  • I’m looking specifically for older women (over age 30) with life experience in raising children, mentoring women, writing on serious and sometimes controversial subjects, etc..  Writers need to be able to speak to these kinds of topics from a base of knowledge and experience.
  • Applicants need to have at least one year of blogging experience, regularly posting on their own blog (minimum of 10 times per month), and familiarity with WordPress is a huge plus.  This tells me that the applicant is serious about blogging and able to handle a regular writing responsibility.
  • I’m looking for bloggers who have a passion for writing about issues, not just “family” style blogs (i.e. where the main focus is on their personal family.)  This is not a sweet and easy blog to write for.  Your writing muscles need to be exercised and ready to go!
  • The commitment required is one post per month, submitted one week prior to the scheduled publishing date. Monthly themes and a posting schedule are known two months in advance.
  • Some themes that we will be focusing on for the remainder of 2012 include: home education help, preparing children for adulthood, being a blessing to our husbands and fathers, getting spiritually healthy, and finding satisfaction in Christ alone.

Does this reflect your own vision?

Then I’d love to have you answer the following questions and send them to me at [email protected].

1. Your name and best e-mail address to communicate with you.

2. The URL of your blog/website where I can see samples of your writing.  In addition, any links to other articles published on other blogs and/or eBooks you have written.

3. Describe yourself, your passions, and your goals in life.

4. Describe your experience with writing and/or publishing.

5. Good writers are people who READ!  List five of the most significant, life-changing books you’ve read.

6. Why do you think you’d be a good fit for the Visionary Womanhood blog?

UPDATE!  I would ALSO like you to write up a 500-1,000 word blog post on the topic of Education vs. Schooling.  This will allow me to see how motivated you are…as well as your ability and desire to write on challenging topics.  If selected, your post will be published in June along with a brief introduction.

Thank you for your interest in writing for Visionary Womanhood!
