upsidedown

By monthly contributor, Ann Dunagan of Harvest Ministry As a Christian woman, you have a unique sphere of influence and you are called to SHINE BRIGHTLY for our Lord Jesus in an totally "upside-down" world! “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Trusting in God’s Grace — as an American, Homeschooling, Military Mom

usa-7-235x300

By monthly contributor, Ann Dunagan of Harvest Ministry "America, America, God shed His grace on thee." As Christians, God gives us a supernatural grace to live for Him and to trust Him for everything. As moms, He has a grace for us. Even for our nation, despite our many faults, God has a grace. My oldest son was recently in Afghanistan, commanding a platoon of snipers in the United States Marine Corps and serving our nation as a 1st Lieutenant specializing in Ground Intelligence in an extremely dangerous and hostile area. Throughout the past four years, as I've walked day-by-day as a mom with a grown man in the military, I've been learning to rely on God's … [Read more...]

I go and find a simple blue-and-white vase, and tell a little story:   The story of the blue-and-white vase Jon and I were overseas on one of our first mission trips . . . I was a young and adventurous twenty-two-year-old, recently graduated from college, pretty much still a newlywed, and a fairly new mommy (with a toddler in hand and baby number two on the way). Both Jon and … [Read more...]

Missions & “SUB-mission” to God – Part 1

500-sub

By monthly contributor, Ann Dunagan of Harvest Ministry   How SUB-mission Relates to Missions The only difference between submission and mission is that little prefix sub --which means "under, beneath, or below." A mission-minded family, and a mission-minded woman lives in sub-mission. There's a total submission to God and His purposes. SUB-mission -- it's like an arrow yielding to the archer, a submarine advancing underwater, and a fruit tree being pruned in the winter . . . --Psalm 127:4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth.   Like an arrow . . . yield to the aim of the archer As Christian women, we often think of our … [Read more...]
